Is it safe to use double adapters and power boards instead?

Power boards with built-in overload protection are safer, but they are still a temporary solution. Permanently installed power points are the safest and most reliable option. If you find yourself relying on adapters and boards, it is a clear sign your home needs more outlets.
Can you install a power point in a bathroom?
Yes, but bathrooms have strict zoning rules under Australian wiring standards. Power points cannot be installed within certain distances of a bath, shower or basin.
